  This was the first place my girlfriend took me to when we began dating. It took us an hour to drive from Newport News, but she swore that if I was going to try raw oysters for the first time, this was the place to do it. She was so right! The laid back atmosphere was perfect, and felt very comfortable. Our waitress was amazing. It was crowded, but never felt busy, and everyone was friendly. The food.....OH MY GOD! Everything was delicious, and fresh. I've since tried raw oysters at several other places, but C & H still stands above the rest. If you are looking for a fancy restaurant, this is not the place, but if you're looking for a small hole in the wall restaurant with amazing food and a feeling of home, then go there. You will not be sorry. Apparently, I love oysters.....and I love the woman who introduced me to C & H!
